From brand project to global quest
The Arbor Greek Team began in 2010. Alex Papapaschalis, Lefteris Maniadakis and Andreas Maniadakis founded The Magic Ride in 2012, initially combining exploration and content production with promotion for Arbor and partner brands.
It evolved into a global quest spanning ski and snowboard trips, surf and kitesurf expeditions. More than 30 missions have taken the project to Greece, the Alps, the Caucasus, Japan, Indonesia, Cape Verde, the Caribbean and Morocco.
One plan, from destination to delivery
Surf Salad takes responsibility for destination selection, expedition planning, accommodation and transfers, local guides, equipment, sponsors and content production. Groups include clients and project collaborators, with specialist support adapted to the destination and activity.
The Caucasus: coordinating complexity
The heli-snowboard expedition in the Caucasus illustrates the operational demands of the project. Coordinating the helicopter and local guides, working with weather conditions, selecting terrain and managing rider safety were interdependent parts of the same assignment.
Experiences with commercial and media value
The project has generated films and episodes, editorial coverage, brand and destination partnerships, revenue and repeat participation. Today it continues through a combination of team expeditions, organised client experiences and content productions.
