What we collect and why
When you contact us, we process your name, organisation, business email, project location, optional project stage and message, together with subsequent correspondence. Required fields allow us to assess and answer your enquiry; without them the form cannot be submitted. Please do not include sensitive personal data or unnecessary information about other people.
Legal bases
We use enquiry data to take steps at your request before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), where you are the prospective contracting party. For representatives of organisations and general enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business communications (Article 6(1)(f)). Security and abuse prevention also serve our legitimate interests. Where applicable, statutory recordkeeping relies on legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Hosting, email and recipients
Enquiries are delivered to our business mailbox. Hosting and email services are provided through WebST (webst.gr), using cPanel. Authorised personnel and technical providers may access data as necessary for handling enquiries, operating the service and resolving technical issues. Data may also be disclosed where required by law. We do not sell enquiry data.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to a collaboration are deleted from active correspondence records 12 months after the last communication. If a collaboration begins, relevant records are retained for its administration and applicable legal obligations or claims. Hosting and email systems may also retain technical logs and backup copies under their retention cycles; these are not used to restart marketing or enquiry processing. Cookies and browser storage
The enquiry form uses a necessary session cookie named surf_enquiry for secure submission. It expires at the end of the browser session. Your language preference is stored locally as surf-salad-lang until you clear website data. The delivered website code does not include analytics or advertising trackers. The server processes connection information such as IP addresses for delivery and security; the form uses hashed IP identifiers for short-term rate limiting.
External fonts and links
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser therefore connects to Google servers, transmitting your IP address and technical request information. Google processes these under its own privacy terms and may process data outside the EEA. See policies.google.com/privacy for its processing and international-transfer information. Social media links open external services, whose privacy notices apply when you visit them.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email info@surfsalad.eu. We normally respond within one month; lawful extensions may apply and will be explained. You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority at www.dpa.gr. We do not use enquiry data for automated decisions or profiling.
